I always said I'd love Anxious Arms even if Trent wan't a member.
Well Trent and Alex are gone now and man I LOVE Anxious Arms.
This may be Kyle's best yet (and some of you know that's saying a lot!)
Essential listening. If this doesn't move you you're dead. I am so looking forward to the vinyl release!

I've replaced all my shame, a will to give away Bitter minds light a flame. The same as yesterday
So claim me and change me or blind me eyes (I'm so happy) I'm hung from the ceiling for piece of mind
Shattered hands held in place learn to celebrate
A bleeding heart that took the blame waits to be replaced
So claim me and change me or blind me eyes (I'm so happy) I'm hung from the ceiling for piece of mind
Find it out for yourself
Hold me under and tell the truth
Of what I'd say and what I'd do
Embrace my honesty for a chance to be a head towards heaven
And it's always something holding me down
All for nothing, face in the crowd
Holding this in
Breaking you down for nothing at all
I will never live this again
What happens when we fade away?
A bastard, a way to play the game
I'm sinking and grinding teeth
To relive what's breaking me
What have they done to you?
A war I was born to lose
A shadow in the way, of what the path has paved
I'm Sinking, I'm wearing thin
Loving, hating, losing this war
Always changing the lies I wore
Give me a reason to see…
What you need belongs to me
I can't forgive the way it seems
Give me a reason to see
Waiting, crushing, the wave takes me
Show me a way to see the light
To live with a head held high
Now I am on my way to heaven
about
Written in just 2–3 practices and recorded just after getting home from a summer show in Texas, “Head Toward Heaven” marks a change in the direction of Anxious Arms as a whole.
While their first two EPs were heavily influenced by the DIY Emo scene they started out in, for this record, Anxious Arms is committed to making a heavy record that pulls in various, heavy influences with producer, Josh Unitt (ex- Wolf and Bear). The band took more freedom on the recording than before, like recording drums and bass live in a room together.
"Head Toward Heaven" is influenced by heavy 90's bands like Type O Negative, Crowbar, Tad and Alice in Chains—alongside modern acts such as: Narrow Head, Code Orange, Every Time I Die, and local Sacramento band, Chrome Ghost.
